Each of us is surrounded by an energetic envelope known as the aura, and permeating through that and through our physical bodies are areas of concentrated energy known as the Chakras.  Each of the seven Chakras is connected to a particular colour and resonates to the energy of that colour.
Every colour brings strength and vitality to the corresponding Chakra.
7th Chakra - Crown
Colour: Violet / White
Physical Location: On top of Head
Key Function: Connection with the Devine

Physically, the crown chakra governs the functions of the upper brain. It helps keep our brains healthy and active.
Psychologically, the crown chakra helps us in our self belief. It helps us to formulate opinions about the meaning and purpose of our lives.
Spiritually, this chakra connects us to something larger than ourselves. We might call it God or we might have another name for it, but we know it's there. When this chakra is healthy we feel a strong connection with the Devine and other spiritual beings.

Crystals for the Crown Chakra are:
Clear Calcite, Amethyst, Moonstone, Amethyst Herkimer, Iolite
December Birthstones

Blue Topaz comes from irradiated or heat treated colourless Topaz. Depending on the length of treatment a range of shades are produced from a light blue to a dark sky-blue called "London Blue". Blue Topaz has a vitreous lustre and is very slippery to the touch, as well as fragile. You may also find inclusions if you look closely: tiny liquid-filled cavities or small crystals.

Turquoise means "Turkish Stone" because the trade route that brought Turquoise to Europe used to come via Turkey. A pure blue colour is rare; Turquoise is opaque and often interspersed with brown, dark grey or black veins of other minerals or the host rock. Such stones are called Turquoise matrix. Turquoise was highly prized by the Persians and the ancient Egyptians and was used by the Aztecs and the North American Indians.

Blue Zircon has been known since antiquity, albeit under various names. Because of its high light refractive index and strong dispersion Blue Zircon has great brilliance and intensive fire. "Starlight" is the trade term for the Blue Zircon variety, created through heating mainly Brown Zircons.
